Basic Life Support (CPR-HCP)

***This is a high demand course, seating is very limited.***

This course meets the requirements to maintain employment for your career in healthcare and for your health science college or university program. 

This professional responder course includes 2-responder CPR skills for adults, children and infants in a professional setting. It has been designed to build your confidence in performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) skills and provide the important steps to perform a rapid assessment, perform basic life support and rapid defibrillation.  Training includes automated external defibrillator (AED) and 1 year Canadian Red Cross certification.

Standard First Aid for Healthcare Providers

This course includes Basic Life Support (CPR-HCP) and involves completing an online component at home then attending one and a half days of in-person training {one full day from 9:00 – 4:00 to complete the first aid and a four hour class to complete the Basic Life Support (CPR-HCP).


 

Physical Activity Notice

At 3Silhouettes First Aid we are committed to upholding the health and safety of participants in all of our courses. For most people the physical activity involved in a First Aid & CPR course should not pose a health threat. However, there are a small number of people who may find the physical activities in the course strenuous. Training involves activities such as sitting for long periods, some standing, kneeling, bending and compressions on a manikin. If you are unsure if you should participate in any aspect of the course involving physical activity, or have any of the health conditions listed below, we recommend that you do not register for a course with us until you have consulted with your healthcare provider and have received medical clearance to participate.

  • Cardiovascular or respiratory conditions
  • Existing, or at risk of; back, joint and/or muscle strain
  • Pregnancy or suspected pregnancy
